Set any speed from 40 to 300 words per minute. Your reading pace stays the same when you resize the text.
Enter your video length and the speed is calculated for you, with a live indicator showing if you're early or late.
Horizontal and vertical mirroring for beam-splitter glass and hardware teleprompter rigs.
Text size and color, width, line spacing, reading-line position, and a focus mode that dims the other lines.
Each paragraph gets its own direction, so English, Persian, Arabic and Turkish text display correctly side by side.
Type or paste your script into the box. It is saved automatically in your browser.
Pick a speed in words per minute, set a target duration, or turn on voice scrolling.
After the countdown the text starts to scroll. The green markers at the sides show the line to read.
Tap the screen to pause, drag to move the text, and open the settings to change size, color or mirroring.
Keep the reading line near the top of the screen, close to the lens, so your eye contact looks natural.

Yes. Every feature is free, and there is no sign-up, login or app to install.
Your script and settings are stored only in your own browser. They are not sent to ReadScroll's servers.
When you turn on voice scrolling, ReadScroll uses your browser's speech recognition to find where you are in the script and moves the text along with you. It works best in Google Chrome, needs an internet connection, and your voice is processed by the browser's speech recognition service.
Yes. ReadScroll works on phones, tablets and computers in portrait and landscape, and you can add it to your home screen like an app.
After your first visit, the teleprompter works without an internet connection. Only voice scrolling needs to be online.
When a phone or monitor sits under teleprompter glass (a beam splitter), the reflection is reversed. Mirror mode flips the text so it reads correctly on the glass.
Most people speak comfortably at 110 to 150 words per minute. Start at 130 and adjust with the + and − buttons while you read.
You can use ReadScroll in English, Persian, Arabic and Turkish. Scripts in any of these languages, including mixed left-to-right and right-to-left text, display correctly, and voice scrolling can listen in each of them.
